A little bit of history...

Playgroup has been running in the village for 54 years now, and was set up back in the swinging sixties; in 1965 to be exact!

It came from humble roots, and began to evolve when a group of local mums applied for a council grant of £50. This was used to purchase the tables and toys from a private company who previously ran a playgroup in the area.

Fees were 50p per session on a pay as you go basis and all staff were voluntary!

Playgroup was previously based at St Peter's Church. It moved in 2010 to its current home; a new, purpose built facility next door to Tollerton Primary School.

Many of our children who attended back then are the parents of children who attend now!

We are very proud to work with families in our community from one generation to the next.
